Algonquin Provincial Park
is the oldest and most famous wilderness park in Ontario. It was established
over 100 years ago to protect a vast wilderness area more than 7500
square kilometers in size. This area of ancient rock, sculptured by
glaciers consists of quiet forests, rolling hills, and an endless
network of rivers and lakes. It's a great place to see wildlife in
their natural habitat. The Visitor's Center and Logging Museum are
well worth visiting. Fishing, canoeing, hiking, birdwatching, and
mountain biking are popular activities in the Park. Excellent cross
country ski trails are maintained in winter.
Blue Water Acres is located about 15 minutes drive from the West Gate

Arrowhead Provincial Park
is situated on 2 beautiful lakes with sandy beaches. Visitor's can
enjoy swimming, canoeing, fishing, and hiking. In winter it's a
great place to go cross-country skiing. Six trails totalling 25 kilometers
are maintained there for your enjoyment. You can also go skating,
snowshoeing, and tobogganing there. About 25 minutes drive from

Pioneer Village is a reconstruction
of a typical crossroads settlement at the turn of the century. This
Village includes 17 restored pioneer buildings from throughout the
Muskoka area. Interpreters in period costume are there to make the
visit more authentic. There's a restaurant and gift shop on site.
It's worth a visit. Located only 15 minutes drive from Blue Water

Santa's Village is a fun
amusement park for children ages 2-12 and is located in Bracebridge
about 45 minutes drive from Blue Water Acres. This is Santa's summer
home where he and his elves have built rides, games, an amphitheatre,
and much more. Also visit Rudolph's Funland while you're there. Open
weekends from May 17 - June 14, and daily June 14 to Labour Day. Cost:
$9.95 per day for seniors and --children 2-4; $14.95 per day age 5

Segwun Cruise is North
America's oldest running steamship. It is still officially a Royal
Mail Ship, and you can get your postage stamped there. Daily sight
seeing cruises are provided from Spring to Fall. They also provide
a "Rise & Shine" Breakfast cruise, a Lunch cruise, a
Twilight Supper cruise, a Sunset cruise and a variety of other themed
cruises. Prices vary per person from about $10 for a one hour family
cruise to about $50.00 for the dinner cruise. Located about 45 minute

Island Queen Cruise is
located in Parry Sound. You will be taken on a scenic 3 hour trip
along the narrow channels and shallow waterways of the 30,000 islands
located in Georgian Bay. This area is home to one of the largest concentration
of islands in the world. 1997 rates are $16 per adult; $8.00 ages
5-12 and free 4 and under. This attraction is located about one hour

Lady Muskoka Cruise is
a 2 1/2 cruise departing from Bracebridge. On this cruise you will
see the Muskoka River, Santa's Village, historic sunken artifacts,
Beaumaris, and the famous Millionaires' Row. Located about 40 minutes

Ragged Falls is a beautiful
natural waterfall and a short hiking trail located about 10 minutes
drive from Blue Water Acres. It's worth a visit.
Cranberry Marsh is a different
kind of place to visit during the month of October. You will see a
commercial Cranberry farm at work at a time when the berries are harvested..
Cranberry growing is unique to Ontario. Located about one hour drive
